A thought about Cambodia Agriculture Cooperative

Criteria youth engagement suggested:

• Local youth targeting from their hometown of AC
• Risk view: How to keep or any encouragement for youth to continually interested in working for AC
• Should priority youth more than students
• Youth is quickly trained as well as their commitment is higher
• Private sectors providing agricultural practical skills

Target AC

• Employment sharing scheme, which was demonstrated to contributed by AC to participants

AC challenges:

1. working capital small, hard to access bank
2. Capacity, leadership, management, entrepreneurship, registration, Business plan skills are limited
3. Financial management such as bookkeeping (used to provide training but required many follow up and coaching)

AC in the future:

1. Independent Agriculture Economic growth through enterprises
2. Support small and medium enterprise, who own by smallholder farmers
3. Self Reliance
